Hi there! Welcome to Ars Currendi. I’m Sander.

In January 2017, I went to Dublin by myself. It was the first time I had ever boarded a plane alone, and to be honest, I was scared.

I started Ars Currendi just before this trip, as a way to keep my friends and family back home informed about my adventures on the road.

And yes, I’m aware that a five-day trip to Dublin is hardly deserving of the title ‘Adventure’, but it really did feel like an adventure to me.

Now, we’re two years down the road, and this blog has become something else entirely.

I now use Ars Currendi as a platform to give people information about solo and budget travel and to highlight off-the-beaten-track destinations and activities around the world.

Before we go any further, be sure to check out my ebook about cheap solo travel. (It’s free!)

Here are some of my most important blog posts.

Solo travel blog posts

Sometimes, you need a blog post to guide you in the right direction. In the following blog posts, I tell you everything you need to know about being a solo traveller and exploring the world on your own.

It’s not as intimidating as many people make it out to be.

Budget solo travel blog posts

A common misconception about solo travel is that it’s expensive compared to travelling with others. In the following blog posts, I want to prove anyone who thinks that wrong.

These blog posts use insights from my free ebook, The Insider’s Guide to Cheap Solo Travel.

Destination guides

I’ve written destination guides for most places I’ve visited after I started travel blogging. Most of these guides have a focus on solo travel, budget travel or off-beat activities.

Travel tips

Sometimes, you want something to be explained to you very clearly and in very simple terms. That’s what these blog posts are all about.

Other than the blog posts listed below, I also have a short email course that explains the 10 steps you need to go through before travelling alone.

Travel videos

If you’re just here for entertainment, take a look at some of my travel videos.

This list of articles should get you started nicely.

Take a look around Ars Currendi and be sure to let me know if there’s anything I can help you with or if you have any question (travel-related or not) at all. I’m on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest.
